Big news Lucifer fans! Per Deadline.com, Lucifer has been renewed for a 3rd season. Lucifer is based on the comic by Vertigo created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Keith, and Mike Dringenberg. The show is only the second drama, Empire being the first, to be renewed by Fox to date. Lucifer received a full 22-episode season 3 order, ahead of its other two WBTV dramas on the Fox network, Gotham and Lethal Weapon.
This year Lucifer only had a 13-episode initial order. The remaining 9 episodes to make it a full season was picked up in October. Those final 9 episodes will air starting May 2nd throughout the remainder of the summer. Lucifer currently has a 1.9 rating in the adult 18-49 L+7 category and a 1.1 in the Live + Same Day. These ratings currently tie Gotham.
When we pick up in May, Lucifer, played by Tom Ellis, has seemingly left his nightclub. He returns when a guitarist is murdered. His mother, played by Tricia Helfer, may have finally found her way back into heaven. If you haven’t seen the last two episodes, you can find the reviews on the website.
If you haven’t today, please take a second to open the Donate a Photo app by Johnson & Johnson. When you donate a photo, $1 is given to the charity of your choice, and Operation Smile is one of those charities. There are several other charities on there as well. Come on back May 2nd, and we’ll talk “Candy Morningstar”.
