“We, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, are coming to San Diego Comic-Con this year.”
That’s a quote from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn, who confirmed yesterday on a Facebook Live video that the cast will attending Comic-Con this year for a panel. The video also celebrates Chris Pratt’s last day of filming. While details are scarce on exactly what will be shown in San Diego, Gunn stated that “we’re gonna show you guys something pretty cool.” The expected panelists will be Gunn, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper. No word yet on whether Kurt Russell will be in attendance or not.
Take a look at the announcement below:
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be released on May 5th, 2017.

The official song listing for the soundtrack to the Suicide Squad movie was revealed yesterday, and it looks to be giving Guardians of the Galaxy a run for its money. Songs by Rick Ross, Eminem and twenty one pilots are featured on the soundtrack, as well as a cover of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody by Panic! At The Disco. This movie appears to be taking a pop-punk approach to its soundtrack in comparison to the 80’s pop approach taken in Guardians of the Galaxy. The reason I draw contrasts between the two is because they are both the outsider groups in their respective cinematic universes.
Suicide Squad’s marketing campaign has been centered around its unique choices in music and how it blends with the characters. The Comic-Con trailer had the sobering “I Started a Joke” by ConfidentialMX, the first official trailer had Queen’s version of “Bohemian Rhapsody” and the latest trailer had “You Don’t Own Me” by Grace and “Ballroom Blitz” by Sweet. These trailers have a whopping 150,000,000+ views combined on YouTube, signaling that fan interest for this film is off the charts.
Take a look at the track listing below.
1. Purple Lamborghini by Skrillex & Rick Ross
2. Sucker For Pain (with Logic, Ty Dolla $ign & X Ambassadors) by Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa & Imagine Dragons
3. Heathens by twenty one pilots
4. Standing In The Rain (feat. Mark Ronson) by Action Bronson & Dan Auerbach (of The Black Keys)
5. Gangsta by Kehlani
6. Know Better by Kevin Gates
7. You Don’t Own Me (feat. G-Eazy) by Grace
8. Without Me by Eminem
9. Wreak Havoc by Skylar Grey
10. Medieval Warfare by Grimes
11. Bohemian Rhapsody by Panic! At The Disco
12. Slippin’ Into Darkness by War
13. Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival
14. I Started a Joke (feat. Becky Hanson) by ConfidentialMX
Suicide Squad will be released in theaters on August 5th, 2016. You can pre-order the soundtrack here.
It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
