Every now and then a Batman comic book comes along that turns the world of the Dark Knight completely on its head. THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS was one. So was BATMAN: EARTH ONE, BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM and BATMAN: THE LONG HALLOWEEN.
