Getting a Glimpse: Ten Days in the Valley

By: Jaclyn Cascio (@jaclynator)

Kyra Sedgwick hasn’t led a television show since The Closer came to an end in 2012. This fall, she’s back with ABC’s Ten Days in the Valley. Get a glimpse of the show with us, right here!

Created and written by Tassie Cameron (Rookie Blue) and executively produced by Cameron, Sedgwick, Jill Littman, Dana Goldberg, David Ellison, and Marcy Ross, the series began to find its feet in early 2016. At the time, Demi Moore was set to lead the show. The star dropped the project for unknown reasons, and the epic Sedgwick came on board in her place. Apparently showing great promise, Ten Days in the Valley was ordered directly to series in August 2016 for the 2017-2018 television season on ABC.

Ten Days in the Valley centers on big shot producer of a controversial television show, Jane Sadler (Sedgwick), as she works through a difficult separation and cares for her daughter as a single mom. The difficulties are just beginning for her when her 8-year-old daughter, Lake (Abigail Pniowsky) goes missing in the middle of the night. Secrets and mysteries surround Jane as she struggles with no one to trust.

The 10-episode long first season will feature Sedgwick and Pniowsky, along with Felix Solis (as David Gomez), Lost’s Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (as detective John Bird), Erika Christensen (as Ali), The Cosby Show’s Malcolm-Jamal Warner (as Matt), Ed’s Josh Randall (as Jane’s husband Tom), Kick Gurry (as Pete Greene), Ella Thomas (as Isabel Knight, the star of Jane’s television show), The Walking Dead’s Emily Kinney (as Casey), Gage Golightly (as Lynn), Francois Battiste (as Gus, a cop who serves as a source for Jane’s show), and Currie Graham (as Henry Vega, the director of Jane’s controversial show).

Ten Days in the Valley is slated to air on Sundays at 10/9c, starting this fall. Are you in or out for this new show?
