This May brought many shows from pilot status to series orders as networks filled their open slots for the 2017-2018 television season. NBC has filled one of those slots with a new show created by Dean Georgaris, Daniel Cohn, and Jeremy Miller – a military drama called The Brave. With other military-themed projects coming to television this fall, what will The Brave bring to the table?
Executive producers Dean Georgaris, Avi Nir, Peter Traugott, Rachel Kaplan, Alan Shtruzman, and director Brad Anderson are set to bring the show to life. Originally titled For God and Country, the show evolved into The Brave and looks to be in the vein of shows like The Unit.

The Brave is set to take a look at some of the elite undercover forces working in America. DIA deputy director Patricia Campbell (Anne Heche) will use state-of-the-art surveillance and analysts in Washington, D.C. to aid their special operations team, headed by Adam Dalton (Mike Vogel) in executing their secret missions. One of those missions is to find and retrieve a surgeon who was kidnapped behind enemy lines in order to treat the leader of a terrorist organization. The Brave will be brought to life not only by Vogel and Heche, but also Demetrius Grosse, Noah Mills, Tate Ellington, Sofia Pernas, Natacha Karam, and Hadi Tabbal.
Set to air on Mondays on NBC this fall, The Brave may be the military drama to fill the shoes of The Unit and similar television series. Are you ready to find out what the team is capable of or are other new shows more worthy of your time?
