Another nerdy week in the books! Check out some news bites from the nerdy entertainment to science.

We got a new poster AND trailer of our favorite guardians.

9. Kong: Skull Island

Hiddles shared another trailer for Kong this week.

8. Alien: Covenant

Our favorite xenomorph graces us with her presence again and hasn’t aged a day (though that might be due to the fact this is a prequel).

An extended look was released for Pixar’s Cars 3.

4. Lego’s Women of NASA

Lego announced it will release the fan-created “Women of NASA” set as its next Lego Ideas commercial product. See more here.

In other space related news, Elon Mush announced SpaceX will be sending two tourists around the moon in 2018! See more here.

1. Bill Paxton

We lost a staple in nerd culture this week. I wanted to share a tribute of Bill Paxton that showcased his amazing contributions to our childhood. Thank you Bill, for so many one liners, and memorable characters.

Bonus Bite: The Oscars

The 89th Academy Awards had candy & cookies falling from the sky, moving speeches, and of course a touch of drama. For the complete list of winners, check out The Oscars’ official website. Highlights included Sara Bareilles’ beautiful In Memoriam tribute and Auli’i Cravalho’s gorgeous performance of “How Far I’ll Go”.
