This week’s nerdy news bites cover an array of topics after a Marvel-ous weekend. Wha? I know nothing…
OK, yes, that has been a running joke and no, I’m not sorry.
10 Justice League
Ben Affleck will be an executive producer for Justice League. Seeing as Ben’s Batman was one of the best things from BvS and he is playing multi-roles in his Batman stand alone, this should excite many nerds. See more here.
9 Krypton
Superman prequal gets a pilot order at SyFy. Described as… “Krypton is one of the most iconic stories in the comic book universe,” said NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment’s Bill McGoldrick. “In the talented hands of David S. Goyer and the DC Entertainment/Warner Horizon Television team, this exciting Syfy project will take viewers back to Superman’s home to show how the timeless legend began.” See more here.
8 Wonder Woman
Congrats to the Wondy team on wrapping her feature film! I am so excited and can’t wait to see it June of 2017!

7 Broadway
The great Christian Borle will be Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Broadway! What hasn’t Christian been in? He’s amazing, so this is just another fantastic and iconic role for him. See more here.
6
We finally have an Inferno teaser.
5 Godzilla
Godzy has been delayed to 2019, while Godzilla vs Kong will rumble to theaters in 2020. See more details here to a possible explanation of all the shifting.
4 Defenders
The lovely Krysten Ritter will be filming season 2 of Jessica Jones and Defenders back to back!
“They’ll be back-to-back. I don’t know if they’ll overlap a little bit. It’s about to be a serious undertaking. I’m starting my physical training – lots of weight training and boxing.” She says. These Netflix/Marvel series are amazing and the more the merrier. With rumored talks of Blade and Ghost Rider, I mean…all the excite! Luke Cage graces our teles in November when Strange graces our theaters. See more of what Krysten said here.
3 Deadpool
ICYMI, the Honest Trailer for Deadpool features Deadpool. Only makes sense.
2 Space and Science
So, check this out… The Mayan people have always been cloaked in mystery and their sophisticated culture is still being studied hoping to uncover their secrets. A Canadian teen, William Gadoury has discovered a lost city deep in the Mexican jungle by studying diagrams of 22 Mayan constellations, Gadoury noticed that the positions of the stars were perfectly aligned with the locations of 117 Mayan cities. Genius! See more here.
1 Progress
More scientific progress occurred today when Hyperloop One passed a big test. This is a huge step forward to revolutizing travel. For someone with wanderlust, like myself, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for more giant leaps forward. See more here.
What are your thoughts this week nerds? What news bites are you most excited about? What didn’t I include that you’re crazy for, perhaps Yoga Hosers or Gael Bernal being the new Zorro?
